1 What does Nickel or Black mean? - This refers to the color of the connector shell.

2 What does shielded mean? - The connector shell is designed to help protect from any sort of electromagnetic interference from an outside source.

3 Type of Face Plate? - Bulkhead face plates will have Cat5e on the front and Cat5e on the rear. 110 termination face plates will have Cat5e on the front and punchdown blocks on the rear.

4 What does D Series and Keystone? - This simply refers to the connector mounting holes used in the plate. The D Series type is a 3 hole design and connectors mount to the plate with machine screws. The Keystone type plates have Keystone holes and the connectors snap in.
