1 What does Nickel or Black mean? - This refers to the color of the connector shell.

2 What does shielded mean? - The connector shell is designed to help protect from any sort of electromagnetic interference from an outside source.

3 Type of Patch Panel? - Bulkhead patch panels will have Cat5e on the front and Cat5e on the rear. 110 termination patch panels will have Cat5e on the front and punchdown blocks on the rear.

4 What does D Series, Keystone and 110 Termination mean? - This simply refers to the connector mounting holes used in the panel. The D Series type is a 3 hole design and connectors mount to the panel with machine screws. The Keystone type panels have Keystone holes and the connectors snap in. The 110 type panels have punchdown blocks installed.
