1 What does Nickel or Black mean? - This refers to the color of the connector shell.

2 What does Shielded mean? - The connector shell is designed to help protect from any sort of electromagnetic interference from an outside source.

3 What does Isolated mean? - The connector mounting is a ABS material - this provides insulation from the panel and other connectors to reduce ground loop concerns.

4 Type of Module Plate? - Bulkhead module plates will have Cat5e on the front and Cat5e on the rear. 110 termination module plates will have Cat5e on the front and punchdown blocks on the rear.

5 What does D Series and Keystone mean? - This simply refers to the connector mounting holes used in the plate. The D Series type is a 3 hole design and connectors mount to the plate with machine screws. The Keystone type plates have Keystone holes and the connectors snap in.
